It is important to untangle the cause of certain problems that will help you solve them faster and more effectively than sticking to a temporary bandage to cure the symptoms. Having curiosity during the meetings will help you better understand the actual problems your team and your business is having as opposed to perceived ones. It will also help you in identifying and assigning the responsible people in solving the problem quickly.

Being compassionate

As a leader or CEO, one should understand what exactly went wrong through empathy and compassion. Fast conclusions should not be drawn before understanding the root cause of the problem even though as a CEO you can hold people accountable.

Fostering reciprocal trust

As a leader, one should be highly accessible and approachable to their employees. Your employees must have full faith in you as a leader to entrust you with any bold ideas. It is important not to punish employees for honest mistakes otherwise innovations will never happen in your company.
